I sat on the edge of my sofa with tears in my eyes watching the four-hour homegoing ceremony for Whitney Houston. She had the voice of angel that will be heard for generations to come. It's hard to imagine when she sang the lyrics, "Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all," she struggled with her own thoughts of not being pretty enough or good enough. She touched us not only because of her talent, but also because she was a lot like us, dealing with life's challenges and personal insecurities. Hers were greater than we will ever know, but the woman we will remember is the one who sang with God's grace and dressed with self love.
"When you sing before your Heavenly Father, don't you worry," said actor and director Kevin Costner, "You'll be enough."
